SCIS+IRIS is located in a nice and recreative area with rich possibilities for running and walking tours. The hotel provides different services iike swimming pool, tennis courts, sauna, etc. For further information visit the hotel’s website.

During SCIS+IRIS the famous IRIS games as well as one of the evening arrangements will take advantage of the outdoor facilities. We therefore encourage you to to bring outdoor shoes, warm clothing and perhaps even raincoat. See local weather forecast at SCIS+IRIS Weather.

The SCIS+IRIS SpamBar will operate on tickets bought from the organizers with cash. Only cash in the local currency DKK (converter) can be used. Coins are not needed for the SpamBar.

Travel information

The conference venue will be at Comwell Rebild Bakker located 20 km south of Aalborg in the northern part of Denmark.

This is a conference hotel in a rural setting that is ideal for the relaxed atmosphere. It is a compact architecture where all conference sessions and accommodation will be in a single building and at the same time it will also offer many opportunities for networking. The hotel is at the edge of the largest forest in Denmark and the forest as well as the nearby hills will be used in the social program.

By air:

Via Copenhagen to Aalborg Airport (www.aal.dk) on Friday 20th August:

  • Shuttle bus at 1630 (must reserve a seat)
  • Shuttle bus at 1730 (must reserve a seat)
  • Otherwise check www.rejseplanen.dk. Train station “Skørping” is 2,9 km away from the venue. Send us an email and we can have you picked up at the station.

Via Copenhagen to Aalborg Airport (www.aal.dk) on Sunday 22th August

From Aalborg Airport via Copenhagen on Tuesday 24th August

By car:

  • Rebild is about 100 km south of ferries arriving from Göteborg, Oslo, Larvik, and Kristiansand.
